How To Stay Orgainized

The key to a successful project is to remain organized throughout it.  That is why we use Basecamp.  When you first find out there will be a spec sheet needed or a demo needed, be sure to go into Basecamp and start your project there.  Be sure to name the project appropriately, for example, if you are starting a project for a company name ABC Company, you would name it: ABC Co – Web Form – Pending SOW (sow = statement of work).  When you receive the SOW back signed, remove the Pending SOW.

Be sure to update each step of the Basecamp project as it happens and supply all documentation to back it up.  So for example, when you get the SOW back signed, you upload that document into the Basecamp project.  Be sure to assign billing to the billing department and literally use the to do lists as a template for what you should do next.  So if the pricing has been approved by management and the SOW has been returned, you successfully can mark off the project kick off and move onto the Start Project portion of the project.  Again, just use this as a guideline.
