How To Do A Demo

First, find out what kind of demo the client is wanting to see.  Is it just an “out of the box” demo, a customized demo or a collector/debtor initiated demo?  Knowing this information will not only help you figure out the best way to approach the demo, but it lets you be prepared.  Once you know what type of demo (usually provided by the sales rep when they contact projects for a demo to be scheduled) is needed, the next step is to plan ahead.  When setting up the demo meeting, be sure to supply several days/times for the client to choose from, we want to try and work around their schedule without cutting ourselves short on time.

Before the demo is scheduled, open up the demo page, it is important to note *DO NOT show the main demo form page to the client. Make sure you have the page: http://apsmemberservices.com/apswebforms/client/demo up on a different screen if possible.  If not, just open all the forms you need before the meeting gets started.  If you need to access that page again for any reason, be sure to pause the screen before opening that one again to select the form you need.

Make sure you are familiar with the forms you are going to be demoing.  Take a few minutes before hand and do a dry run by yourself to make sure you remember to highlight the important areas of the features offered.
